Laser speckle
How to compare it

Rainbow effect (RBE)
Brief red, green and blue fringes seen by some viewers on single-chip DLP with sequential color, especially on high-contrast moving edges. Faster color wheels (4×, 6×) and LED/laser sequencing reduce it. How visible it is varies from person to person. We record it as a review-sourced score, not as a spec. ⚖ observed.rbe_susceptibility (review aggregate)
Speckle
A grainy, shimmering interference pattern from coherent laser light, most visible on high-gain screens and with RGB laser. Reduced by "despeckle" optics, vibrating screens and diffusers. Review-sourced. ⚖ observed.speckle_visibility
